This afternoon we held our annual chili cook-off at the YKnot Pub and Eatery of Elmhurst, PA. First off, we would like to thank everyone who attended, participated as a chili server or purchased beer raffle tickets!
The YKnot was packed with local people enjoying the seven different chili recipes available for testing. Admission included a wristband to test chili and a ballot for attendees to cast votes for their three favorite chili options. Though every entry was delicious in its own way: some mild, some spicy and some with their own special ingredient additions; three servers reigned champion.
Congratulations to the 2017 GNO Chili Cook-off Winners!
First Place: Paul and Corolla Sawka of The Arc of NEPA
Second Place: Joy Fischer
Third: Sandi Korshnak
In addition to our cook-off winners, the winning beer pallet raffle ticket was drawn at the conclusion of the event. The winning ticket was that of Michalene Stevens. GNO contacted Stevens promptly, within seconds after the ticket was drawn to congratulate the winner and offer details to pick up the 50 cases of beer.
Stevens was excited about her winnings, but wished to share her “gold” on this Parade Day weekend with another winner. A second ticket was drawn for 1/2 of the beer pallet (remaining 25 cases) and was awarded to Pete Mataloni.
Congratulations to the beer raffle winners–we know you’ll be enjoying your winnings!
